Ham and Pineapple Crockpot recipe.

Yesterday was my husband had our first new parenting class.. OH BOY RIGHT!!! You should have seen my husband's face as we were in class.. Poor guy but better he gets the shocker now than later right????

For dinner last night since class was at six, I did a short crock pot recipe.. of course I always forget to take pictures.. Man.. what got to happen for me to REMEMBER... anywho! It was a great recipe and I still want to share it.

I wish I could say I made it up myself... but I can't :(

http://thefrugalgirls.com/2013/03/crockpot-ham-recipe.html

What You’ll Need:
  • Boneless Fully Cooked Ham {approx. 5 lbs.} ~ just  make sure it will fit in your crockpot! ;)
  • One 20 oz. Can of Crushed Pineapple or Pineapple Tidbits
  • 1.5 Cups Packed Brown Sugar
  • Crockpot
What You’ll Do:
  • Place ham in Crockpot.
  • Pour entire contents of pineapple can into crockpot, over ham.
  • Add brown sugar into crockpot {spread over ham}
  • Cook on high for 3 – 4 hours, or on low 7 – 8 hours {depending on size of ham} ~ don’t overcook!
  • Occasionally scoop up sauce mixture and pour over ham while cooking.
    Enjoy!
Since I was just feeding Spencer and I, I used a two pound ham rather than five. And cooked it on high for 2.5 hours and it was ready to go. AMAZING!!! And I love pineapple especially since it has been cooked in brown sugar... Yummy!!!!!

Do you have any crockpot recipes that you love... 99.9% of my recipes always involve Chicken. I am trying to change things up a bit.

Happy Holidays From The Kecks!!!!

HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!!!

I hope your holidays went as well as ours did.  Even though we didn't go home; we certainly enjoyed each others company.  It was nice to have the holidays at our place. At times going home causes so much stress, we got to see this person and that person and oh don't forget your twice removed step cousin ( a bit of exaggeration but you get what I mean).

This year I am making some resolutions. Are you?

1.  Is be the best momma I can be for my lil girl
2.  Take more pictures
3.  After giving birth to my lil girl, start working on getting myself in a place where I am comfortable with my body. I am not worried about numbers on a scale. But where I feel beautiful and happy with my body. That is most important to me.
4.  To find some me-time, I struggle finding it now. I am sure I will struggle some more once our lil miracle comes.
5.  To relax and enjoy the ride of life.
6.  Make a routine for myself in the mornings and evenings.
7.  Do more activities out of the house with my family
8.  Make the blog more active place in my weekly schedule.

As you noticed these goals it is hard to be measured. But I just want a little improvement compared to 2013. If the improvement is there then I am happy. I am sure I forgot some resolutions.  But who says you need to have your resolutions written down or thought of on Dec 31 or Jan 1; NOT I!!!!

Are you making any resolutions???

Productive Week?

Hey Readers,

I hope you been having a productive and great week. It has been a great week, productive.. ya. no.. I blame the hubby. He is still on pain medication so his sleep cycle completely out of whack.. and of course as I type this he is sleeping on the couch. No I didn't kick him out of the our bedroom; he tends to be more comfortable being able to recline. We don't have those fancy kind of beds. I hate to admit it be nice to have it right about now. I miss sleeping with him. I know you probably think I am nuts; being pregnant and all. I swear I am not lying.  Like I said this lil girl has been extremely nice to me. Minor sleep interruptions just basically limited to bathroom breaks and every once in a while a cramp while I am sleeping.. Okay, how is it you get them while you are sleeping but you NEVER get them when you are awake.. What is up with that???? I totally rather get them while I am awake rather than waking up seconds before it occurs.   While I am getting my motivation up and going again.. (Cross your fingers).

Snowy Day

Morning!!!!!

As I woke up this morning; the white fluffy snow was scattering the ground to add to our seven inches of snow we have already received.. OH HOW I LOVE WINTER!!!!!  Can't you tell :)

Enjoying my cup of coffee and this snowy day!!  I am trying to plan out what the next few post are gonna be about.   But I want to talk quickly about SAVINGS!!! If you have a smart phone.. or even have access to the internet with your computer.. and you shop at Target.. O-M-G.. you need to get the cartwheel app. It is basically coupons or sales that can only be used at Target. And you can use coupons that you print of the Target website on top of them.. AMAZING.. Due to my growing belly my wardrobe that is shrinking.. And it was perfect timing cause I found a 5 dollar off coupons after spending $25 dollars on any woman clothes and then there was a 20 or 25% on the cartwheel (I can't remember which) of maternity clothes. So I bought a couple jeans and a couple shirts, so Five dollars was taken off and then the 20 or 25 % was taken off.. WAIT FOR IT.. EACH ITEM!!!  So major savings!!!!!   And of course these coupons are easily found and they are on items you actually buy and also the items on cartwheel are items you actually buy too. Like diapers, wipes, Christmas decorations.  And usually it doesn't expire for a week or two. And if you use that cartwheel app and buy a box of diapers and you go back and it still hasnt expired you can use it again and again until it has expired!!!!!

Happy Shopping!!!!

I am back.. For good.. I PROMISE!

Hey readers,

I know I took a long long long AND EVEN LONGER vacation away from the blog. Life has been crazy. But I thought of the blog often and trying to figure out how to kick this blog off again.

Updates:   I am pregnant with a little girl, currently 30 weeks along. I am due Feb 21st and I am sooo excited to be a mommy.  And I am even more excited to see what our lil girl looks like... brunette like her momma and daddy?   or a little red hair since her daddy is part Irish.  Brown eyes like her momma? or Hazel like her daddy's. Who is she gonna look like more?  Is she gonna inherit the curly hair that some how skipped me but that is very prominent in her grandmother and aunt.. Oh only God knows that this point.  I will say this.. She is making this pregnancy very easy for me. Which I am so grateful for. Hopefully that is a sign for things to come.  :)  We can only pray and hope. But even if she makes things challenging for us; we will still love her more than we can even imagine.  I now have a RN position at a doctor's office part time. Which is a even more blessing on top of our lil girl. I also work at the chapel  nursery being a childcare watcher while parents are attending bible studies. I am definitely busy; which is helping this pregnancy fly by!   My husband is doing great; Other than he is sore and in some pain due to his shoulder surgery he had on Monday. So my husband is gonna be around the house more the next couple weeks which I am really looking forward to.

We just got dumped with some snow yesterday and early morning today and a little sleet. This is our first real snow fall we have had this year. Of course a one shoulder man and a pregnant woman + snow... is just a disaster waiting to happen. But my husband isn't a type of guy to sit around.. and also we have great neighbors. Idk what we do without them!!!   I WILL BE POSTING MORE AGAIN. PROMISE!!!!
