Hummingbird Feeder.

Good Afternoon Y'all,

Today I been doing a lot of stuff outside, watering the grass and plants. We havn't gotten rain in like two weeks and we have been in the 70s and not expecting any rain until next week but it may not be enough. Already had a small brush fire a couple streets down from where I am. I am not gonna risk it. Thankfully since I live on an army post that our housing money covers water. :)

Also, I bought a filled up my humming bird feeder. I make my own, it is soo easy.

Items:

Hummingbird feeder (make sure the bottom of it can be opened to clean out)

Like so:

This allows you to clean it, if it isn't able to be open black mold will start to grow. We don't want to be killing our hummingbirds do we now?

Sugar
Water
Oven/Microwave

Direction:
Put 1/2 cup of Sugar in a Microwavable bowl or in a pot,
Put 2 cups of Water in bowl or pot.

Then heat it up until sugar is dissolved. Since I am a cheater ;)  I used the microwave, heat it for about 1 1/2 min in the microwave. Then stir the solution as soon as it stop heating up in the microwave until it is dissolved.  Let it cool down and then fill the feeder up. I don't add food coloring, but you certainly can.  I think the red on the feeder will attract the hummingbirds anyways. The feeder I have, I bought at Walmart for like 6-7 dollars. It is also bee/wasp proof. Which is great if you have any kiddos that like to play in the backyard.

Saria thought I was just taking a picture of her :) Right above her on the shed, is my hummingbird feeder :)

Chicken Dumplings Crockpot recipe.

Chicken Dumplings Crockpot Recipe

Ingredients:
1lb of Boneless Skinless Chickenbreast (about two to three)
2 cans of condensed Cream of Chicken Soup
1 can of Chicken Broth
1 medium White Onion (diced)
4 Large Flaky refrigerator Biscuits (half a can)

(After making this recipe once, I started to add some veggies with it, amazing!)

Place thawed chicken in crock pot. Top with cream of chicken soup, chicken both and diced onion (also veggies if you are adding them in). Cook on High for 4-6 hours or Low for 8 hours. do not stir while cooking.

Cut each uncooked biscuits into nine small pieces and stir into the chicken mixture. Continue to cook on high for thirty mins, if cooking on low (switch to high). Remove chicken from slow-cooker and shred with fork. (I have made this numerous times and it would just shred so easy, I never had to pull it out of the cooker). Return to slow-cooker and stir everything together. Serve Hot. This makes about six to eight servings.

For leftovers, I would serve over white rice.

(I wish I could give you a link where I retrieve this recipe from, but sadly can't)

Portobello Mushroom Pizza

This is one of my all time favorite lunch recipe.

A little background for you guys, I mainly eat a Paleo diet style. (aka caveman diet). Basically if a caveman didn't eat it, either do you.  No processed food/drinks.  I hate (and I don't say hate very often) calling it a diet. It is not a diet, more of a lifestyle thing. Please read up on it and gain your own perspective of this lifestyle.  I saw amazing results without me exercising too much. I drink so much water now and I feel healthy. One day of the week, I'll cheat and usually pasta is on the menu for dinner. Spencer and I love our pasta.  I tried having candy for Easter.. ugh such a bad idea... My body was so used to the no added sugar thing that candy is now a thing of the past.

I found this recipe in the Samsclub.com magazine (Jan/Feb 2012)  I ripped it out and never tried it until almost a year later. I am so glad I saved it.

Ingredients:
1 portobello muschroom (about 3 oz), stem removed, wiped clean with a damp paper towel
Garlic Oil spray ( I used Pam)
1 tablespoon of low carb tomato sauce
2 tablespoons shredding mozzarella cheese.

Directions:
1. Heat Oven to 425 F.  Spray both sides of the mushroom with oil and place on an aluminum foiled lined baking sheet. Bake for about 7-10 mins. Turn it about halfway through the cooking.
2. Change the heat to a broil on low. Top concave side of the mushroom with tomato sauce and cheese. Please under broiler for one minute or until cheese has melts and bubbles.

AMAZING WREATHS (do I have to say more?)

Right now due to The Land of Craft owner moving across the country to her new home, her etsy page is on vacation right now. You can still go to her page and select to receive  email when the shop is back open.

Hey guys!!!

I know I lied, so sorry. It has been crazy in the Keck's household this week. Trying to get the house back in order and babysitting and of course stealing any time to spend with the hubs. I got my package yesterday. I am soooo excited to show you guys. I ordered two wreaths from The Land of Craft. One is a spring/summer wreath

and the other is sporting our team we root for. Since Spencer and I grew up less than 20 mins away from East Lansing home of Michigan state Spartans, our families grew up rooting for green so naturally we did too. We are huge fans. Spencer is more into football but me its basketball all the way!!! Izzone!!! Anyways here are some pictures of the wreaths!!!
This woman does amazing job. She is willing to customize a wreath to meet your wants/needs. I bought two wreaths and had them both here under 2 weeks. The turn around was awesome. It may vary from order or order on the turn around time but gosh she was just fast!!! Thank goodness or I would have died waiting for my new additions. The quality of these wreaths are amazing. I am so shocked that these weren't made a factory. You can tell Jackie really puts her time into each flower, pom pom and logos on these wreaths.   It really says welcome home!!!  I can't wait for my neighbors to see it, so I can brag all about The Land of Craft.  Now I am worried that the neighbors might just want to steal it ;) Spencer loves the MSU one that we are already trying to figure out a schedule of when we are gooing to  put our spartan one up. Hahahaha.  Thanks soo much Jackie. You can look at her store on etsy or like her page on facebook. Below is both links.   If you make purchases from her, YOU WON'T REGRET IT. She is awesome and I am not being paid to tell my viewers  about her shops. :)

HAPPY FIRST DAY OF MAY!!!

Sorry things have been a little slow on the blog. I have lots of things planned but of course wasn't planning on the stomach virus that hit me over the weekend. I am still trying to recover but I do have plans of putting up a  post later day. :)
